Shows promise but v.1.1.0 seems to be a fail.
Had Lots of problems downloading -- apologies for the lateness. That said, if you want to give it a try the registration page says it's live for another 23 hours as I type this. fliflik[.]com/giveaway/
I started with a .tif file from a 35mm negative scan that had film grain, faint lines across the photo, and lots of white spots [like dust but the next negative frame doesn't have them]. 1st off the product page is wrong -- the app does not accept .tif files. I converted that to a .png, which worked. You have your choice of a few models, so I chose denoise and scratch repair. Note that the size is set to double the image by default -- I set that to 1x, no enlargement. It uses the graphics card if you have one, but can use slower emulation utilizing the CPU, as in my VM. The subject of the photo was definitely improved, but the soft focus background [bokeh] showed clear rectangles. At the same time the new .png file, while the same dimensions, was Much smaller [41 -> 12MB]. I attempted to save the photo as a .tif file, but it didn't save anything.
The app itself takes up 1.45GB, but could grow as there are options in the app to download additional models. By default it wants to install in the User folders -- you have to run setup as admin if you want to use the normal program Files. The registry gets an uninstall key, a bugsplat key, and one for the app.
