The Win11 24H2 update deletes Wordpad, along with Cortana & Tips. If you want to keep Wordpad, copy the 3 or 4 files somewhere else before updating to 24H2. There's a 28KB write.exe file in the Windows folder that seems to just work as a shortcut. The actual Wordpad files are in C:\ Program Files\ Windows NT\ Accessories\ -- wordpad.exe, WordpadFilter.dll, & en-US\ wordpad.exe.mui. I assume the en_US folder is replaced with a language appropriate name in non-US copies of Win11. Just copy those 3 files anywhere and run wordpad.exe.
