The nice folks at Hasleo have offered a couple of their apps on GOTD in the past, e.g., WinToUSB, so wanted to give a quick heads-up that they also make cloning and disk/partition image backup software, and both are free. I didn't do any real testing, but both install just to the program's folder, taking up just over 100MB. The cloning app adds a service & one key to the registry to keep track of the program window placement. The same for the backup app, plus a couple of registry entries for the file type used to store the backup archives.
