   Well, sort of... the code for Moment 5 is included in the 2nd, optional update for February 2024, but according to the Windows Latest site, nothing is turned on -- you need to download a small update to turn on the features. Microsoft has done that before, though Windows Latest is the only source I saw with any details. After installing the optional update I'm still waiting for it to show up in Windows Update, and will post an update if it appears or if someone posts the KB number etc. Officially Moment 5 is supposed to roll out gradually, be available with the 2nd, optional update in March, and will hit everyone else as part of April's Patch Tuesday.

   Tried to do more digging, coming to the conclusion that as far as what's been published online, this whole thing seems a mess -- I should have probably kept my mouth shut.

   There's LOTS of speculation on what Moment 5 is supposed to include, but no feature list or anything that could be called comprehensive & official. I didn't see any How-To articles, and screenshots seemed to all be from Insider preview builds -- not from Win11 after Moment 5 was installed & fully enabled. Many of the changes are to address new regs in the EU -- there's no definite word on whether anyone outside the EU will ever see them. Further, a lot of the stuff I saw mentioned as part of Moment 5 is already there in my various copies of Win11 that have not been updated since Update Tuesday, & while I originally read that the new object removal in Photos was rolling out to everyone eventually, regardless Moment 5, I've seen it included in several alleged Moment 5 feature lists.

   Firmly in the FWIW category, Neowin published the ID# to allegedly enable Moment 5 using the Vive Tool -- when run it adds an Override key with "EnabledState"=dword:00000002 -- which seems to do nothing. Going through several alleged Moment 5 feature lists, the only thing I can confirm that's different after installing KB5034848 on Feb. 29th is the option to reinstall Windows using Windows Update -- Settings -> System -> Recovery.

   So, in a nutshell, Moment 5 may be pretty much nothing unless you're in the EU, where you'll get options to uninstall Edge, remove the Microsoft sorta Edge-powered news feed from Widgets, use another search engine for Windows search etc. Other changes, like object removal in Photos may roll out gradually the same way Edge's VPN took about a year I think to make it from preview builds to everyone else, though it may not take That long given Microsoft's pushing AI.
