   This is the update that [allegedly] brings Copilot to Win10, but it's one of those slow, staggered rollouts -- I've updated 3 copies of Win10 so far, and haven't seen it. That said, it was already available in Edge before the update. SO far no problems to report, though the Win11 update likes to leave ~1GB behind in the $WinREAgent folder [may be hidden].

   Today is Microsoft's December 2023 Patch Tuesday, which includes security updates for a total of 34 flaws and one previously disclosed, unpatched vulnerability in AMD CPUs.

   While eight remote code execution (RCE) bugs were fixed, Microsoft only rated three as critical. In total, there were four critical vulnerabilities, with one in Power Platform (Spoofing), two in Internet Connection Sharing (RCE), and one in Windows MSHTML Platform (RCE).

   The number of bugs in each vulnerability category is listed below:

   10 Elevation of Privilege Vulnerabilities
   8 Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities
   6 Information Disclosure Vulnerabilities
   5 Denial of Service Vulnerabilities
   5 Spoofing Vulnerabilities

   The total count of 34 flaws does not include 8 Microsoft Edge flaws fixed on December 7th.

   Last week, Microsoft released December 2023 Patch Tuesday updates with security fixes. However, it appears that the latest round of updates also causes headaches when connecting to specific Wi-Fi access points, especially in universities and businesses. Some cannot connect to Wi-Fi networks, and others report radical performance downgrades that make access to the internet borderline impossible.

   Microsoft has yet to comment on the situation. Still, it does not seem like another blown-out-of-proportion report. Some universities have already published their advisories, recommending customers roll back KB5033375.

   Microsoft has fixed the WiFi issues using Windows Known Issue Rollback.

   The beauty of Known Issue Rollback is that it does not require uninstalling updates or downloading extra files or patches. Microsoft can undo the damage remotely and deliver the necessary fixes to affected systems (consumer and non-managed devices) in about 24 hours. The company says you can speed up the process by restarting your computer.
