This is *possibly* caused by a bad update HP uploaded to Windows Update servers. There's not a lot of info, but it apparently started last week. Reports say that all the printer icons in Control Panel -> Devices and Printers are switched to HP printers and the HP app is installed, whether there are any printers installed or connected or not. I haven't seen anything about whether non-HP printers continue to work properly otherwise. It would probably be a good idea to make sure that Windows Update checking for drivers is turned off -- Settings -> System -> About -> Advanced system settings -> Hardware tab -> Device Installation Settings.
Note that when you turn off driver updates it *may not* mean anything -- with it off Windows still has the annoying habit of replacing AMD graphics drivers with a crippled version -- but in this case it *might* help.
