You probably now have, or very soon will have the Edge VPN. It's been in beta for roughly a year, slowly rolling out to I guess random users, but over the last week things ramped up here so that we have just one copy of Windows left without it. Personally I like Opera's implementation better, with a switch you can toggle next to the address bar. In Edge you set it in the Settings -> Privacy, search, and services. You can also see it if you enable the Browser essentials sidebar. If you don't go looking you probably won't know it exists. It's turned on by default to route all your traffic through the VPN until you reach the 5GB cap. You can also set up black & white lists -- sites to always use the VPN & sites that will never use it, e.g., banks etc.

Microsoft also sent out an update to Edge on Win7 & 8, even though it stopped supporting Edge on Win7 & 8 at the beginning of the year. I would hope that those still running Win7 & 8 had uninstalled Edge back when it was first unsupported, moving to something like Firefox, which was, but if you're still using Edge with those older Windows versions you've got updates.

Lots of people don't like Edge because it seems it's constantly adding bloat, when all they want is a web browser. Microsoft has apparently taken note, and is starting to prune the features in Edge. There are quite a few negative reactions when it comes to losing Web Select.
