Microsoft Edge users are reporting a somewhat head-scratching situation. The browser installs the Google Docs Offline extension (which allows creating and editing Google Docs without the internet) from the Chrome Web Store without permission or notifications.
Click the triple dots in the upper right, click Extensions, click Manage extensions, and if the Google extension has been installed [it was for me] you can turn it on or remove it -- or leave it alone. I removed it because I don't like to have stuff I'll never use installed, but that's me.
