Cute, but a bit resource intensive, using ~9% CPU, a Ryzen 5700G, and ~30% GPU, a lowly AMD RX 6600. Desktop Paints has gotten rid of at least part of its old update software -- though it's still listed in their registry key, Program Files (x86)\ Common Files\ Thraex Software\ AutoUpdator no longer exists. It does add two folders to your Documents folder, Animated Wallpaper Examples & DesktopPaints, while adding WebUpdateSvc4.exe, WebUpdateSvc4.log, WebUpdateSvc4.INI, wuw4.dll, and WuWUI.exe to C:\Windows\ for updating, & wuwuninst.exe for uninstall. The registry gets entries to associate the file names it uses with the app, an uninstall key, a key for the app itself, one for the DRM, and one key adding the update service. There is an update available, and it works with today's GOTD key.
