Just wanted to clarify what Coolmuster iCloud Backup Recovery is -- what it's for -- since those who have never entered the world of Apple devices might be unsure or puzzled by the whole iCloud thing. Basically iCloud is OneDrive on steroids, but much more focused on Apple devices to the exclusion of everything else. To give an idea of the inclusiveness of the data stored, part of the US Feds fight with Apple over encryption had to do with their getting access to suspects' iCloud accounts. Unlike OneDrive on Windows & Android, accessing your data stored in your iCloud account from a Windows PC is a PITA. Apple is so Apple-centric that without a single Apple device in our home, I had a very hard time just canceling an Apple TV+ trial. There is a 3 star rated app in the Windows Store, and Coolmuster iCloud Backup Recovery aims to be a better alternative.

That said, a quick aside to the Cloud Haters, since I'm still chuckling over the comment on the download page that talked about the iCloud *companies*, & how numerous iCloud companies went bust. If you use iCloud you have one or more Apple devices, and most assuredly know iCloud is Apple, & Only Apple, which with its current valuation of $2465.85 Billion [on 3/17/23], is pretty unlikely to fold in our lifetime.
For most individuals the cloud *is simply* another place to store your stuff. If it's important, you should have additional copies -- it's your stuff, & your responsibility. If you're afraid someone else might see whatever, encrypt it -- security is also your responsibility. The cloud also lets you use someone else's hardware -- a good example is cloud gaming, where the game you play on say your chromebook or phone actually runs on a server in the cloud, since the game in many [most?] cases wouldn't run on that chromebook or phone otherwise. Don't like or love the cloud? Cool. Use it or don't -- no one cares. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
