I have System Restore turned on for most of our devices [those that can spare the hard disk space] because 1) there's a chance it might actually help in case of a problem, & 2) Windows only does some other stuff regarding hard disks / SSDs if System Restore is enabled. But I never actually rely on it because it's always been hit or miss, just as likely to not work, causing more problems than you started with. Now there's a new reason not to use it if you're running Win11 22H2 -- "After running a System Restore to a previous restore point on a device that is running Windows 11, version 22H2, some Windows applications that use the MSIX Windows app package format" may break.
