I have no idea if anyone reading these posts has upgraded the copy of Windows Home that came with their PC / laptop to Pro, but if you have, if/when you reset that copy of Windows it will likely use the key embedded in the BIOS, which is for the Home version. This article explains how to deal with that, changing the activation key to a generic placeholder from Microsoft. Note that that generic key only works if that device already had a copy of Windows Pro activated on it previously.
