Please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE (non-Steam games) and HERE (Steam games) for the latest freebies. It's kept up to date frequently, (thanks for keeping this up to date Delenn, very much appreciated). There are a lot of sites that now offer free games such as TooMKY games, MyPlayCity games, Gametop, FreeGamePick and others. One of my favourite's that has been around for around twenty years is Caiman's Games, where you'll find thousands of freeware arcade games covering almost every genre I can think of. You can find Caimans games HERE. The site used to be updated every week, but since the founder of Caiman's, Rudy Versele's passing on the Feb 3rd 2010, it's been kept running, but not updated by a colleague of Rudy's. There's a wealth of freeware games that can be found on the site that are well worth checking out.

Steam Games:
For the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in order by clicking the headers 'price' & 'percentage off'. If you link SteamDB (the Steam database) with your Steam account, all games that you already have will be highlighted in green and those in blue are on your wish list. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see the percentage off as 100%. It's worth checking this regularly to make sure you don't miss the best deals and freebies.
Any game that you get for free on Steam remains free, even if later the game is priced. Also, if you've purchased any game that is later removed from the Steam store, you will still always be able to download and play it via your Steam library despite it no longer being available via Steam; that is unless its one of those Massive Multiplayer Online games where the only access is via the developers servers and no single player elements are included. Once the developers no longer support these MMO's (Massive Multiplayer Online) game and close the servers down you can no longer access the game. (e.g. Defiance, Guardians of Ember, plus loads more).
Bethesda, the creators of some of the best RPG's around e.g. The Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind as well as Fallout 3, 4 and Fallout 76 have released the first two Elder scrolls titles onto Steam for free, i.e. Elder Scrolls: Arena and also for free
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall as well as Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. The latter can be expanded with many extras made by the modding community since the the entire source code was released under the GNU General Public License back in 2010. Also if you Google Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall Unity you'll find an updated version of the game with better graphics.
Apparently the modders are working on being able to update the Steam version to the Unity version as well. I may add the Unity version to the Free games project sometime soon as I bought the original when it was released in the mid nineties but the Unity upgrade as made the game look so much better. I was working on a tutorial for this (with the intention of posting it in the free Game Project ) when I got a BSOD and lost all the work I'd done; I'd stupidly neglected to save my progress (over 3 hours of effort)

Indie Gala:
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; new titles are added frequently and some are removed.
Check the freebie section for the latest additions; if you've not visited for a while, also check the Showcase section for older freebies. All or most new freebies should be on the first page of the Showcase pages. We have been given over 350 games since I started to check the freebie section in 2018. But around 60% of those are no longer available free.
Any game you claim while it's being offered is DRM free and will remain in your Indie Gala library permanently (unless Indie Gala goes bust) and can be downloaded at any time, under the showcase or freebie section; over 100 games are still available. Not all games that go into the showcase remain free and are removed after a short period; e.g. the recent adventure puzzler Figment that costs almost £15 on Steam; so, you should grab them as quickly as you can.
To find your games go to your account and from the drop down menu select 'My Library'. When the page opens find the 'Showcase' button in the banner along the top of the page and, from the drop down menu select 'Showcase'. There are only 8 games per page, so, if like me you have added hundreds to your account/library. Each page from your free list can take 30 or more seconds to move to the next page so it can take a good twenty minutes to get to the last page depending on how many of the free games you've claimed.

CD Keys:
Another decent site that you should check out regularly is CD Keys HERE. They usually have some very good discounts on top notch AAA games for all the popular platforms (PC, PSN, Xbox, Nintendo), sometimes as much as 99% off; for example I got STAR WARS™: Squadrons earlier this year with a 99% discount for only £0.39 (usual price is £39.99).
Be sure to check that keys from the site are redeemable in whichever country you live in (it details where it can be redeemed) as prices and the ability to redeem keys in particular countries may differ. I've quoted prices from the UK pages of CD keys.

Epic Games:
Epic games have been giving AAA and decent high quality indie games since late 2018. Initially every two weeks, but within a year they were giving games away every week and over the Christmas period for the last few years every day. It's well worth checking the site every week.

Indie Bundles:
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2010 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be, with most of the bundles containing cheap stocking fillers and a lot of 'adult only 'hentai like ' games). The Humble site is, in my opinion, the best; though a more recent addition that is worth checking out called Fanatical games, that used to be called Bundle Stars, looks to be a serious contender for that title as they have several bundles live at any one time, with a variety of genre dedicated bundles. Again, this site is well worth checking frequently/ Some bundles are all or nothing, others are divided into selecting from 1 to several games from the bundle. Often a single game from one of these bundles will cost you as little as $0.99.
You can find the Fanatical bundles page HERE
The latest Humble Choice bundle went live on the until the 6th December. The next bundle for January 2023 goes live on the 3rd January.
The following are the games included in the bundle
Wasteland 3
Greedfall
First Class Trouble
Backbone
TOEM
Where the Water Tastes LikeWine
Blade Assault
Super Magbot)
Subscriptions to the Choice bundle have recently been changed; basically levelling the ground for all subscribers (those originally subscribing to the Humble Monthly bundles a few years ago, no longer get an advantage over everyone subscribing after). The monthly cost is a meagre $12/£8.99 for everyone now; with other benefits such as access to a lot of indie titles for free while subscribed and a percentage off other purchases from the Humble store. This discount increases the longer you stay subscribed up to a year with 20% off all none bundle purchases. (1 month sub' gives 10% off, 3 months sub' gives 15% off and six months sub 'gives 17% off). The only negative this change has created is that the number of games has been reduced to eight per month; previously it used to range between 10 to 12 games.
The There are usually a couple or more Humble Bundles worth checking as well. You'll find those HERE
If you've purchased previous Groupees's bundles for example the old Greenlight bundles, it may be worth checking them out as I've found several games with Steam keys in some of the bundles for example Greenlight Bundle 55 released Feb 2017, now includes a DRM free download from Itch.io and a Steam key (Intelligent Design: An Evolutionary Sandbox), a game I almost purchased in the summer sale back in June 2022.

Free Game Project:
I've restarted a project I originally started back in 2008 that used to be called Good Games to Grab, where I and other community members posted free games over in the forums on a daily basis; however, I won't be posting them daily this time, only as and when I have time and the inclination. You can find the new forum section entitled 'Free Game Project' HERE. So far, I've posted eight excellent PC games, plus one android game as well as suggested or linked to others similar to the ones posted. I'll be adding more as and when I have the time or the mood takes me over the coming months.

Amazon Prime Gaming:
If you have Amazon Prime you'll also have access to free games every month as well as loads of add-ons for various games like League of Legends, GTA V, Warframe, Two Point Hospital, Smite, New World, World of Warships, Assassins creed: Valhalla, Runescape, Dead By Daylight, Destiny 2 and many more.
You do need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber to get these game for free. New games are added every month. I've seen at least one or two AAA games each month, usually either Origin or uPlay activation codes. The rest once claimed are accessible via the Amazon Prime gaming app that you can get HERE for free
