A year or so ago, I began having problems getting Malwarebytes to install on my Fires. It suddenly didn't show even though I had the app. After weeks of runaround with them, they finally admitted that they no longer supported the product on a fire. Even within my Amazon App library, it disappeared finally.
A month or so ago, I was trying to run the free version on my Win 8.1 laptop and it screwed things up and turned off the anti-virus and still wouldn't run. I rebooted and haven't used it since.
Yesterday, it happened on my Win 10 Desktop. It tried to FORCE me to go to Premium. It had the "offer" with no way to decline! I finally accepted the "trial" knowing I could go to the settings and deactivate the trial. Yeah, except that it then turned off the anti-virus and I could not turn it back on.
I shut down all active products and restarted the desktop. That solved that issue and I immediately "Revoed" Malwarebytes.
It's so PUSHY about Premium that it won't even let you use the free version any more. There's no reason for this.
Are others having this same issue? I won't trust them now. No way!
