Reported by several outlets, it started with this tweet from Russ Bishop. SSDs, & PCs/laptops for that matter, first store data in memory, before committing it to storage. Some NVMe SSDs lose data if power is suddenly cut, even when the data stored in memory has already been committed or flushed.
