Microsoft has started pushing out the Win10 21H2 update, at the same time stating that Win10 from now on will only be upgraded to a newer version once a year, rather than the spring & fall cadence we've [unfortunately] become used to. This seems to be a smaller, quicker update, which is fine because it probably contains nothing that would interest you.

In a likely preview of what's coming in the 2nd optional update of the month for Win10, Microsoft released KB5007253 to the Win10 Insiders Release Preview channel. The Release Preview channel is the only one available for hardware that doesn't meet Win11 requirements. This is mainly of interest I think if you want or need to get a look at what fixes will be offered -- there's a bunch.

Microsoft is increasing the pace -- how long you'll have to wait -- offering Win11 to qualified hardware its AI feels will have the least number of problems.

And about that qualified hardware part... Ed Bott feels Microsoft is going to cause a security nightmare in a bit over 3 1/2 years. When XP, & later Win7 reached their end of support, in most cases users could just migrate to the new Windows version. [Sure, many complained a Lot, but the option was there.] With Microsoft constantly threatening to withhold Win11 security updates on unqualified hardware, that leaves Linux, or a landfill -- most people will choose neither. That could well mean hundreds of millions of PCs & laptops running unpatched, and thus unsecured copies of Windows.
