2 Factor Authentication, 2FA, or 2SV in Google terminology, is something we're all probably going to have to get used to. It also takes a small amount of time to set up, e.g. installing & setting up Microsoft's Authenticator app on your phone or tablet [ microsoft[.]com/en-us/security/mobile-authenticator-app ], and then there's getting used to using it. If there was no pain involved neither Google nor Microsoft would have to push people to use it. Since Google's apparently going to make it mandatory, and Microsoft's not far behind, might be a good idea to get ready now, rather than waiting until it's the most inconvenient time possible, which you know is how anything forced on you usually works.
