6 months ago Microsoft talked about forcing the update to the new Chromium-based Edge, and published how to keep the original version of Edge working alongside of it. If you did that, and installed the new version Edge, the original Start Menu shortcuts for the old Edge probably have quit working by now. The fix is to replace that original shortcut.
Right click the Start Menu, Click Run, then type or copy/paste shell:appsfolder & click OK. Find the icon for the old Edge [it may look nearly all white], right click it & select Pin to start. You can also create a shortcut on the desktop. To get rid of the old Edge Legacy shortcuts, in Windows Explorer go to C:\ProgramData\ Microsoft\ Windows\ Start Menu\ Programs\ ,and if there's still a shortcut in the Start Menu after you delete the Edge Legacy shortcut, you'll also have to go to C:\Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Roaming\ Microsoft\ Windows\ Start Menu\ Programs .
