Hi,
This is to all those who won a Steam key for the Arcane Rise bundle then had all 11 games revoked a few weeks later. I was clearing out one of my hard drives that I use specifically for games and noticed that most of the games I'd installed while reviewing the Arcane Rise bundle were still installed (I'd previously deleted a few directly from my Steam library after reviewing them as I thought they were total rubbish). I was about to delete the ones still installed directly from the steam common folder, knowing that they were no longer available via my Steam library; however, instead I opened one of the games folders and clicked on the games executable. Too my surprise it worked. So I moved all the ones I hadn't deleted to a folder on the desktop and checked to see if they still worked and all of them still did. The only ones I couldn't check were Zambi to Kil, ISIS Simulator and Athopiu: The Final Rebirth of Hopeless Incarnate which I'd deleted before I thought to check. They are definitely still registered and free standing.
You can see the original giveaway (if only to see what games you did get and perhaps to read the short review I posted HERE
It seems the developer of those games had all of the games included in the bundle removed from Steam over the last year or so. I've not been able to find out any concrete evidence as to why they were removed; however there are stories, but I don't put credence to those.
Anyway, it seems this developer has offered those keys (or different ones) via other games sites then had them revoked. He was recently giving away a thousand keys via the Reddit's Free Steam keys site, but most community members, including myself who completed all the activities found the last step, i.e. a reCaptcha was broken, or even though you had put a particular game on your wish list, it would not accept that you had, so you couldn't claim the Steam key for the bundle.
What this guy was and is doing is getting community members to subscribe to various accounts (FB, Twitter, and others) where he is then earning lots of advertising revenue. What he then does is have the key revoked and starts the cycle again. I don't know whether Valve have put a stop to it yet, but if you come across this developer and his offers, please ignore them as they are a scam.
