   Today all my *.exe files were pretty much cleared out to quarantine (from the playcity games from GAOD) I have occasionally or most of the time had to shut off malware protection during the install and turn on immediately after which i am sure is related to the GCD file and or optional malware in the install. I can't imagine that all these games are actually containing a virus. How can i fix this and what is up?

   As a note the removals were limited to the myplaycity stuff, not happening elsewhere on the drives.

   The myplaycity executable found inside the games folder contains low level adware that does not affect your system in any way, but some security may see it as a threat.

   I'm not that familiar with Malwarebytes, but if you can restore the files, there should be an option in Malwarebytes to leave them alone in the future. IF you have them all stored as sub-folders in a higher level folder, it's usually painless to add that higher level folder to the AV app's exclusion list, hopefully preventing that from happening again.

   One of the Jewel Quest games from iWin gets tagged by Malwarebytes and I've had to exclude both the lowest level and a higher level on that for years. It's not the exe that's the problem but something in the data area for the game.

   It's probably the low level adware and the code that redirects your browser to MPC's site that causes the issue. The MPC advert is benign in that it does not affect your system, it is only active when you boot up the MPC executable as is the browser redirection.
