My husband is driving me bonkers and I'm driving him bonkers because I keep pointing out his forgetfulness!
Many of the short videos he watches on the internet have no volume control themselves and the only way to hear them is to bump up the master volume in Windows 10. We normally keep the volume at 30 but he often has to bump it up to 50 or so to even hear the audio portion of the video.
The problem - he forgets to bring it back down and then I start to play a game and I get my ears blasted!
I found an option in the speaker controls for "Loudness Equalization" but it distorts some sounds badly. That won't work.
Is there an app or some way to trap the actual setting of the volume and display it on the taskbar itself or the desktop? The only thing on the desktop right now is the Recycle bin. Kinda like what ViewMinder does -- it's icon has the day of the month right on the icon (it changes every day).
It would be nice for BOTH of us if we could figure this out.
TIA!
