A decent app for what it does, I suspect most people *might* use it once in a Blue Moon. This 32-bit version installs to the program's folder, with an additional folder in C:\Users\ [UserName]\ AppData\ Roaming\, which by default contains quite a few Files & folders, creating almost 2k new registry entries along the way.
That's a bit much *for me* when it's an app I might use once a year, *Maybe*. So I spent a little while coming up with a workaround. Likely only one or two people *might* be interested in trying it, and it *may* bump up against the dev's wishes, so I'm not going into more detailed specifics.
The workaround is to start by installing the 32-bit trial version of HippoEDIT, selecting the portable option during setup -- it's one of the last screens. That puts the content from the Users folder in the program's folder, which was/is one of my preferences, but it still adds a ton of new registry entries. The next step is to install the GOTD on top of it, using something like Regshot2 to record the newly added registry entries -- there are ~1/2 dozen, though likely only 2 or 3 are absolutely necessary. Copy the contents of the program's folder wherever -- run on another copy of Windows it is indeed portable -- and if you merge the registry entries you recorded, it'll be registered as a GOTD.
