This post has been set up to enable community members to give away their spare Steam keys that they have received via various indie bundles. I've previously given away hundreds and have friends who have done the same.
Basically, if you post a list of the games you would like to donate (but not the actual keys), the community can then list any from that list they would like. I will then email the contributor with the emails of those wanting those games so that the contributor can decide what to give to who.
We should say the first to request a particular game should get the first choice; if you select more than one game, then its up to the contributor to decide.
So..... with the permission of the community members who have requested a particular game or games from the lists posted
We are not allowed to post emails directly in the forums so if I email you each community members requests and email, the contributor could then send the codes directly to them.
I've got administrative rights here, so I can see every ones email. Lets assume that if you list any games, you are also giving me permission to send your email to the contributor. If you've used a throwaway email to create an account here, then that system won't work.
I've promised several community members keys previously for posting reviews of the game giveaways, but I've failed to send some out due to misplacing the documents with the codes, but I will still honour my promises eventually. I will also be adding a list of games I wish to give away (all from indie bundles) sometime in the 'not too distant' future.
I have had some issues with indie bundle Steam codes, for example I purchased virtually every Indie Gala bundle until July 2017, and often purchased them during happy hour where you could get up to five copies of those bundles. however, I was recently looking through those bundles, partly to list all the games in those bundles that had since been removed from Steam. I ended up with a few hundred keys for removed games as well as a couple of thousand for games still available via Steam; however, when I gave some of those keys as well as other games from those bundles to a friend recently, most come up with an invalid message when the codes were inputted into Steam. In total I complained to Indie Gala about this issue confirming to them that the keys had never been used. They apologized and offered me the equivalent of $50 in Indie Gala silver coins to spend in their store. I pointed out that the bundles alone had cost me a lot more than $50 plus the code for the removed games alone were worth far more than what they had offered.I've still not resolved that issue.
