   I never use Bing. Maybe that is why I never had a problem with Search.

   Thanks that quick fix from top link above worked, don't forget to backup that part of the registry first, just in case.

   I also never use Bing Tiffany. I don't know why, I was never inspired by the name BING I guess, lol.

   Totally FWIW...

   Relatively speaking, no one uses Bing -- this graph shows that in rather stark fashion. [Note that many references say Bing use is higher in the US than in other parts of the world, so for you in the UK, WR, it's even fewer than that.]

   Obviously this is not something that Microsoft is happy about, so they try to force Bing on you from time to time [at least with usage so low they can't be accused of monopoly tactics ;) ]. They tie it into Win10 by default, and next month they're trying to force-feed it on their corporate Office 365 customers.
