   Thought I'd reintroduce some of types of threads we used to post here, when the forums were inhabited by loads of community members.

   So, what are or were your top five match three games (in your opinion). All types of match three games can be included such as the traditional tile swapping, bubble popping and RPG melded match threes. A brief explanation of why would be the icing on the cake. :)

   My top five include the following though depending on my mood the list may change slightly:

   Treasures of Montezuma 1 or 4
   Luxor3: Quest for the Afterlife or Atlantis Sky Patrol
   Puzzle Quest or Gems of War
   Call of Atlantis
   5 Elements

   Runner up: Around The World In 80 Days (for its free screen savers) though there was a couple of better looking match three's with an underwater theme (the names escape me) where as you progressed different species of animated fish were added to the background and on completion of the game you got an excellent looking screensaver that IMO was much better than the several that came with Around the World in 80 days.

   All of the above brought something original to the match three genre and all were very addictive.

   Fishdom 2. It can be played relaxed or timed; it's fun to buy items for the various aquariums, buy and feed the fish, etc. I enjoy it as much as my grandchildren do.

   Mine are:

   1. My Go to #1 Waste Time Match 3 Game.....Sky Bubbles Deluxe Hardly a story but I love the graphics and I have probably beat it a million times but I JUST can't stop playing it.

   2. All the Fishdom's but 3(Liked it at first but I got tired of cleaning ALL the aquariums every time I opened the game) even the HOG was good.

   3. 4 Elements I and II

   4. The Cradle games......Rome, Egypt etc.

   5. Treasures of Montezuma 1, 2, 3, 4 Hated 5.

   Runner Ups: Chuzzle, Bejeweled 3(especially the Butterfly game), Rainbow Web Games and Fairies(Because of the Music).

   Delenn, sky bubbles was one of my earl;y favorite match three games. I remember getting it via the gamegiveawayoftheday 12 years ago. I ended up buying it after losing the giveaway version to a hard disk crash (before I realized many of the games we got back then were free standing once installed) I still like the game a lot and would include it in my top 10 match three favorites. I found it very challenging once you got past around level 10 and could never get past around level 14 -16 as I always failed to save the angels before the time was up. I've not installed it for ages. Going to just as soon as Cal and Ems exams are over. :)

   p.s. I hope your hubby's surgery has healed fully?

   I don't know if I can say 5 individuals because, like some, I like them in series.

   I think the first Treasures of Montezuma is, by far, my favorite game - even if it is timed. When I first got it from GOTD, it took me 3 days to get past 80 jewels. Now, I skim far past that in one fairly short session but I still like the game. Part of my first problems were that I didn't fully understand the game. Of the series of 5, I like the odd ones best and I don't know why but I like 1, 3, 5 better than 2 and 4.

   I also like the Jewel Match series because of their complexity. It's not just ONE layout/level, it can be up to 6 or 7 that branch off from the one and they also have a relaxed option.

   To WhiteRabbit -- I have completed the Sky Bubbles Deluxe game several times but the version I have is not the one given away here. I have one with a slightly different name from one of those CDs with bunches of old games - such as from Viva Media. It works the same.

   I liked that the GOTD versions were often "portable" but you could not guarantee that. I lost a few with transitions to new computers - namely the first game I got - Chroma Crash. I did finally get that one full version from Alawar.

   There was one simple match 3 game, Age of Japan, that works great still but ONLY my old copied GOTD version. I've seen it on multiple sites and it's on some of the game bundles on CD but those don't work on my machine at all but the old GOTD version keeps trucking on!

    Whew I finally recovered my account after changing browsers and no longer having my password saved so I could log in automatically. I tried to copy the password from my old browser but it didn't work. This has happened on several sites. I'm glad to be back with you guys.
