Games GuruThanks for keeping this thread updated Delenn. I've been really busy looking after our dwarf rabbit, who is in his twilight years. He's needed a lot of attention recently, which has seen me having to hand feed him every few hours throughout the day and night. I've had little decent sleep for weeks now and am exhausted, so have been really slow at moderating etc.

Games GuruI was tempted to download the multiplayer game today, but decided against it. I bought the Master Chief collection during the summer sale and have hardly got through that collection. The game play I've seen of this new game looks very similar to the early releases.

I've not been so taken with a game in many years; (of the thousands of games I play the only ones that have grabbed me so much previously include The Elder Scrolls franchise, Darkland, Acky's XP Breakout, Total War: Empire and Total War Shogun 2, Conflict: Vietnam a third person squad based shooter(now free via My Abandonware), Ricochet Infinity (also free via My Abandonware and I've posted a link to thousands of free levels HERE) Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2 and the casual arcade game Gish.
Since June 21 I've played over 600 hours and still have so much to discover. I do have the complete edition, which includes 10 reserves, whereas the base game includes 2; that said, the two that are included will give you many hours of game play. Each of the reserves i.e. Leyton Lakes (US) and Hirschfelden (Germany) are at least 25 to 30 square miles in size and you can explore virtually every square inch of both reserves.
If you do get this game; don't expect to see masses of animals right from the outset. The more you play, the more animals will appear. This is because you need to unlock need zones of which there are three types Rest, Feed and Drinking zones. When you stumble upon your first need zone it will be obvious because you'll see lots of foot prints left by the animals, plus there are specific markers. Once unlocked they are marked on the reserve map and will give you the time you are likely to see the animals at those need zones.
The more need zones you unlock, the more animals will start to appear. In one of the DLC add-ons i.e. Vurhonga Savanna I've counted up to 50 Blue Wildebeest in a herd and in Parque Fernando, I've seen around fifteen to twenty Water Buffalo in one spot.
I recommend you unlock hunting structures as soon as you are able as they tend to overlook need zones and you are invisible to the animals; plus the hunting pressure caused by killing an animal while in a structure (or other hunting blind such as the tripods, ground blinds and tree stands is significantly reduced. If you see a bright pink spot on your map, it will stop animals from visiting that area until you've cleared it away, plus it destroys any need zones in the area, so you have to rediscover them. I had plenty of these when I first started playing becasue I didn't know how much hunting pressure can affect the number of animals that appear.
I've graded the hunting pressure into six stages:
stage 1: Grey
stage 2: Greyish Pink
stage 3: light Pink
stage 4: Pink
stage 5: Pinker
stage 6: Bright PinkYeah I know, not really helpful unless I post a colour chart; however, it will be obvious when you see hunting pressure. Avoid the last two stages if you can. Shooting on foot will result in a stage six if you kill six animals in the same area. Using a hunting structure it will take 15 to 20 kills to get to stage 6, but you should avoid doing so if you can, but not killing everything in sight.
. The first stage looks grey, then very vaguely pink, greyish pink, pink, lighter pink and bright pink.

I didn't need an appointment for a booster! I got mine at Walmart as a walk-in 2 weeks ago. They were going nuts with all the people wanting shots. I admit I waited a bit before getting the booster because I had surgery under 2 months ago and wanted the OK from the surgeon. I got a thumbs up and went the next day.

Dedicated GamerI don't want to wait outside in 30 degree weather in some places. The Walmart's here are just nutz. No one social distancing and not wearing a mask correctly etc. I haven't been to the Walmart here in over a year.
They had a ruling here in Ontario, IIRC. It had to be 6 months after your second shot. and then, boosters were first for 70 and up then 50 and up and as of Monday anyone over 18. I had an appt for Wed elsewhere but it was out of town. This place is right down the street from me.
