Finally got a chance to look at this, & with almost 5 hours left to the giveaway, thought it might be worth posting... Problems reported on the download page include not getting a key, not running in win10, not running in hi dpi, no GPU assist.

Seems fine in win10. The app itself is confined to the program's folder with just a few registry entries. Beyond that seems the usual ffmpeg-based converter with one exception -- it doesn't use QT code like maybe 98-99% of these apps do.
The software will run in a 1024 x 768 window, though it's slightly too big for that & non-resizable, with the exception that you can go full screen -- not a good idea at 1024 x 768, but on larger displays should work fine. It will not run if you change the size of text, apps, & other items in display settings, e.g. to 125%. In this case the compatibility troubleshooter wasn't a lot of help -- right click the program [Video Converter Genius.exe], select properties, select the compatibility tab, set the dropdown for Override high DPI scaling... to either of the 2 system choices.
GPU assist can be a can of worms... There's Direct X, OpenGL/Vulkan, Open CL, CUDA etc. GPUs vary in their level of support for those depending on brand & model. Drivers & other video related software that's installed can break GPU assist, but aside from specialized [e.g. CUDA] video apps, there's no sure formula to make it work let alone work well. Add to that, ffmpeg doesn't always give much benefit when GPU assist is enabled, and codecs like the included X264 for AVC/H.264 doesn't really benefit from GPU assist anyway. So if/when you have the option to tick a box for GPU assist, try it on & off & see what's best. If there is no box, compare the time to encode with other converters -- if it's a lot slower, don't use it -- if the encoding times are roughly the same, don't sweat the part about no box for GPU assist.
