Downloaded Karma with no problem. Install took forever, mainly due to staring at the little "activation" window for fifteen minutes, during which time my AV started back up. Cancelled and tried again, pausing AV for longer time. Finally got to "Launch Program"; the MPC window pops up, with the loading bar, after about five minutes it disappeared ...and nothing. Task Manager shows no karma.exe, game.exe, or engine.exe running. Restarted system and tried again, same result. Tried each exe (had that issue with "Cubis Creatures" recently); karma gives the loading screen same as before, "game" did nothing, "engine" told me - "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running". The download page says: "System Requirements: Windows XP/ Vista/ 7/ 8/ 10".
Haven't the time or temperament for this; delete and move on. See what's here next week.
(BTW, posted this here instead of the comments on the d/l page since I can't post there. Click in the window to type and that window disappears, leaving the two fields containing my name and email and a "comment" button, clicking that gets me a "required fields are empty" message.)

The "failed to launch" error has been reported a few times but I don't think it has ever been solved. The wrapper is designed to prevent installation information from being captured and then used to circumvent "the day" part of GOTD. Unfortunately, that also generally prevents error messages from being logged so you don't know what process generated the error.
The best option is to boot in "safe mode with networking" and try the installation again (note that you will have to be connected to the internet). You don't need to download the file again, just run the extracted executable and see if it will install. If it installs then either manually restart your security software or reboot. If it won't install then it's unlikely that you'll be able to resolve the problem.
