   Do you have experience downloading from this site? I've never tried before today. The file I received is 8.12MB, a little small. Is it just a stub like MPC itself? I tried running it and just get "Runtime error 217 at 0057986D." Not a big deal I suppose as I can get this game any time directly from MPC. Also, according to a comment it looks like it installs directly to C: same as the normal MPC stub installer so there is no benefit to installing from giveaway club unlike the ones offered here which wrap the full installers that *do* allow choosing the installation folder.

   Actually, no..not lately. I am not fond of MPC games or HOGS. Plus my Comodo and Malwarebytes has a hissy fit. Comodo even tries to contain it in a sandbox. But I tried today just because you said something.

   Newsflash....Things have changed. That 8.12mb files is a Gameclub installer with and PRECLICKED box to add some Yahoo Thingy. Yes, you can unclick it but that is not the point. Not to mention MalwareBytes and Comodo went crazy.

   I am now debating as to whether I continue posting their games here.

   Maybe I could get a MOD's opinion.......

   I don't see any problem with the installer add-ons as they're optional and pretty common stuff. It's how they've chosen to pay for the "free to us stuff" that's not free to them. However, if you haven't already, you might run their EULA through the EULAlyzer.

   And speaking of "free to us stuff", Facebook is now worth over $500 Billion because of all the personal information users have provided. It's truly amazing how much money "free" can generate.

   Perhaps one of my malware scanners is messing it up, though none have a problem with this site with their Themida wrapper. I might try later to see if disabling them will take care of it.

   I have a FB account but I have supplied as little information as possible. Pretty much all they get from me are in my few posts and comments.

   I installed the game on my surface pro 4 without any trouble. I am running windows 10 pro on that computer. I will try to install the game on my laptop next and report back with what happens.

   The game installs perfectly fine on my gaming laptop. Both computers I have installed it on are using windows 10 and use Microsoft's antivirus software. I played the game on my dell gaming laptop and had no issues. I also noticed no yahoo add-ons being installed by default. I looked each tab of the installer file over before clicking next. The only things that I found that were unwanted were the typical my play city desk top junk. I deleted them and had no issue of the reinstalling.

   Okay, I tried again. After trying a few things I decided to just right-click and choose to run as administrator. That time it worked. Most installers automatically request elevation when run, but this one apparently just crashes with a runtime error if it doesn't have administrator privileges. The program is, as expected, just a stub that downloads the actual installer, but it is better than MPC's own in that it stops after downloading so you can keep the full installer.

   MPC's stub will download the full installer, run it in automatic mode (no user input at all, installs to default program files folder), then deletes the full installer so you have to use the stub any time you want to install it again (or figure out how to save the installer while it's installing like I do). The full installer, as I mentioned before, runs normally with user input so the destination folder can be selected (E:\Games\MPC in my case) so it is more ideal to install MPC games this way.

   BTW, I did catch the Yahoo checkbox and unchecked it before installation.

   I have found that there is generally no problem with the games themselves from Giveaway Club, and for my taste there have been some good ones.
   The downloader does need to be run as administrator, which for me is a minus, but does not require my antivirus software to be disabled, which is a plus.
   The full, unprotected setup file can be retained, which is a plus (and some games given so far have previously been given away on this site, so it means that I now have the setup files for some GGOTD giveaways).
   The downloader does have the checkbox for Yahoo; from memory this is a more recent addition, a minus but probably necessary from a commercial point of view.
   From experience so far I would recommend the site if you like the games offered there.

    The only problem with that Yahoo check box is..I will have ppl saying....Why didn't you tell me about it? If I forget to mention it..Which is very possible. Ppl do not read; they just click OK, OK, Ok: then, blame the person who told them about the link. Trust me..I have had it happen.

    I use Unchecky to catch the ones I miss..which rarely happens but it's a good little program.
