The fun stuff... Available now in the latest Insider build is Story Remix -- seems a mashup of Movie Maker, Photos, & Ink, that uses AI in the cloud. The basic idea is shoot video with your cell phone, bring it into Windows Story Remix, add a soundtrack [e.g. from Groove], then mark it up using Ink etc. For some I could see it being worth enduring the constant bugs in the Insider releases until this version of 10 goes live in the fall [MS once said Sept., but may back away from that].
The worrisome(?) stuff... New features will let you pick up where you left off regardless the device you're using. Start an idea while you're away from your desk, using your cell phone, then near instantly expand on it & start fleshing it out on your PC/laptop once you're back at your desk. Prepare a doc on your PC/laptop, then present it & edit on site with your cell phone, finalizing changes back at your desk, & so on.
The worrisome part?... all your stuff is stored in & accessed from the cloud, which is how & why any device can pick up on it where you left off. Lots of folks will not always be comfortable with that.
Maybe Nerdy stuff... You'll be able to get a few flavors of Linux in the store & run them as apps.
Over the next few days there will undoubtedly be more promos, spin etc. on what to look forward to in the next version of Windows, and it's likely that some of the stuff they're talking about at this early stage won't make it into the final product, but you can see what you can get now in the latest Insider build here:
