There's lots of press being given to Congress rolling back privacy protections added by the last administration. Maybe most talked about is that, assuming this all goes through, ISPs will be able to sell your data, e.g. what sites you visited etc., without notifying you or asking your consent.
What usually isn't mentioned is that these protections were added at the very end of the last administration, & had not gone into effect yet. That's why they're so relatively easily rolled back. Not giving you that information is I feel very misleading.
So you can be for it or against it, for the entire package or parts of it, but it's not something you're losing or gaining, because if this goes through, there is no change from 2016.
If all or parts are something you feel we need to have, contact your Reps & Senators to tell them to add it to new rules or legislation, tell your ISP how opposed you are to them selling your data, look for an ISP that promises it won't etc.
