I just purchased the Mumbo Jumbo bundle from Bundlestars and discovered one of the games is virus infected (Luxor: 5th passage) and was curious why there was only one review mentioning the virus had infected his system and was found to be from the install file. There is a thread in the steam community about this, but I wanted to make sure it was a little more prominent to potential purchasers by leaving my own review. Well it turns out you not only have to have the game in your library before you can write a review for a game, but you have to have run it at least once. Since Bitdefender quarantined the install file (thankfully), it never installed so... no review. Quite a setup.
From the thread on the steam community, this has been a problem for TWO YEARS! Really? In two years not only has MumboJumbo failed to fix the install file, but Steam has continued to sell it? I'm not as ticked as I could be considering I paid $3.50 for 18 (now 17) games, but what of the person who buys it directly from Steam for full price? As it stands, it is impossible to leave a review to warn people away. Many will take advantage of the return system, but seriously if the publisher has failed to provide a virus-free install file in two years Valve should just pull the game from the store until they do.
Just venting, and warning people here who might possibly buy the bundle for this game.
