I need a good To Do list.
Yeah, I know I could just write my list down on a piece of paper. But that's no fun.
And I know I could just keep a list on Notepad, which I have done in the past.
But I am wondering if there is something better out there, with a few bells and whistles, maybe something free as one of the first items on my To Do list is "don't be so darn poor."
I am running Vista home (don't throw things, it came with the laptop) if it makes a difference. Thanks!
To-do list is perhaps on of the most prolific types of software applications on the net.
What makes a good one? Well it probably depends on what you are looking for - as they range from a list in a Notepad style app - to a full blown calendar/scheduler/diary app - it really just depends how detailed you want to get (and perhaps integration with other programs like Outlook etc).
For some (many thousands of) suggestions just hit google and try a few to find one that works the way you want to work.

You might look at Sticky Note. Can be found at sticky-note.net and is free.
I haven't tried it yet but it looks promising. I like the fact that it works just like a post it note on your monitor but isn't going to fall off!
Hi, sonn, welcome to the Forum!
From one Vista-Fan to the other, Vista has it's own yellow sticky notes and a calendar.
You'll find the sticky notes under C:\Windows\System32 and the calendar under
C:\Program Files\Windows Calendar.

Just wanted to extend a word of caution.
Regarding the google search suggested by Bubby:

On performing this search, "WOT" extension for Firefox shows 9 of the first 20 google results thrown up as 'YELLOW' meaning these sites have privacy/malware issues..
We need to be careful regarding which websites we download freeware from. All are not as good as GOTD!

You are right to remind us that blindly downloading can be a security threat for our puters. WOT is a good help to minimise these dangers. BTW it was BuBBy who gave this community notice of WOT - several months ago. A lot of regulars have become content and active users of the Web Of Trust http://www.mywot.com/
However, to download and trust in WOT is only one part of a safety net.
