This one surprised me that it worked, so I've no idea how successful it'll be for anyone else, but since it takes only a few seconds, might be worth a try.
Faced with yet another Blu-Ray disc that wouldn't do anything -- it wouldn't even show up in Windows Explorer -- I couldn't bring myself to try more involved methods when I found a scratch near the innermost ring. So far the most reliable fix I've found [other than buying a new disc] is to use the liquid abrasive for restoring headlight lenses, & I was too tired to deal with that mess.
So I took a Very fine tip black marker -- NOT a Sharpie, as that would be permanent -- filled in the scratch, then wiped it with my finger to smear it, thinning the ink out enough that the laser's light could still get through, but still there so the scratch wouldn't reflect that light. And I tried reading, ejecting, & reading the disc a few times to make sure it wasn't just a fluke, that the drive would now recognize & read that disc.
Good luck if you try this -- Good Luck that you won't have to.
