I suggest you try it again - I just checked and there have been over 5000 downloads over the past 5 hours. Perhaps you just struck a busy patch. Can I suggest using a download manager that will auto-retry until you are successful (Also a HTTP error code might give some indication as to why you couldn't connect).
With about 19 hours remaining - hopefully you can get the download working.
BTW. What is the "other website"? I can never have too much giveaway software. ;)
not work? may be one in 5000? may help if you give some info like is it xp is IE or Firefox firewall any error messages? crashes? hang? freezes? lock up? is the size of the down ok like if say it 2 MB do you get 2 MB or less? or biger
For those of you having trouble downloading, or with the final download, you should try using the Freeware download manger 'FlashGet'. I have been having trouble with intermittent connection ever since the purchase of a new wireless adapter recently (which I will be taking back if a new driver installation does not remedy it), and FlashGet continues with the download where it left off whenever the connection is on until the download is finished... plus it downloads many sections of the program at the same time, while graphically showing the progress of all the sections that it is downloading. Since FlashGet was made to take up where it leaves off, in any event, it obviously must produce a more reliable download.
I think this is the second type of download manager that I have ever used, and I am sure that there are other good download managers available...even for free, but I have done some internet research before deciding to download FlashGet, and I have found from others that FlashGet is one of the top download managers out there...plus it is freeware. I am pretty satisfied with it.
