Go for it, delenn... take a helping hand when you need it. I just know when I take a peep at a walkthrough I tend to stop thinking and it ruins the game for me. But some games absolutely warrant them! I hear you about the thyroid... my sis-is-law had hers removed. Take care!

I know the feeling there. Once I look at a walkthrough for a game, I feel like I really need it even more from then on. Though any lost hair I have is from me pulling it out.
Anyway, finishing up the detective work we were doing, I looked around for Multimedia Fusion, and found that it's a 2d engine for games, which is what Eternal Daughter was built with I guess. The -NOF command and other commands, as I said before, are something available to games built with this engine. So, it's not that there was a missing .exe file that was for windowed, it's that that command is supposed to allow for a windowed game. Since there was some success after running it in a different compatibility mode, I'm guessing it's just not supported with the later Windows operating systems(there's a Multimedia Fusion 2 out, maybe that one is supported, IDK). Also, further detective work has yielded no other sources for a walkthrough. I didn't know that site was down, but it seems to be the only place to find that walkthrough, as the only other link I could find was to a website that has closed down. And I think that's all for my detective work for this game, as I haven't even played it much(a mixture of getting into other games, and just not being able to get into platformers very much).

Lol, albesir... thanks so much for all your detective work on something you're not even interested in! Though I tend to go on wild goose chases myself to find things for other people, so I know where you're comin' from. Helping others simply feels good! And I do think most on this forum seem to have this strange affliction. ;)

Yeah, I do like to help people. Plus, when I'm curious about something, it'll bother me if I don't figure out so I had to figure that one out. Not to mention, being on break from school(which ends next week) I've had lots of free time to look around, so I've been searching away for games(and playing them too). But, I wont have nearly as much time when school starts back, so maybe a few less philanthropic missions and spending hours upon hours playing games. And yes, there do seem to be a lot of people on here willing to go the extra mile for others on here. It's a nice feeling helping others, and it's also nice to see others helping people. Ah, good feelings ;)

Thanks for all the detective work albesir and midori; I just haven't had the time over the past several weeks. Time seems to have become a very rare commodity for me recently; so much so that I hardly get to play the games I purchase virtually every week.
Hopefully the suggestions so far should help. I don't seem to have the same problem with Eternal Daughter, so found it hard to be able to contribute to the discussion anyway. To 2sweetcamom - Sorry if I've been useless.
Lets hope for some good games tomorrow. I've not got the heads up as I usually do, so don't know whether I'll be writing a review in the morning. I need a sleep in, so may not set the alarm to wake me up on the change over. I don't like writing them on the day of the giveaway anymore because I always rush them out and make lots of mistakes; but if I'm in the right mood I'll still do one. :)

Take a break, Whiterabbit... you surely deserve it! Sleep in, and don't let that internal "review clock" wake you up. You somehow do more than is humanely possible anyway, so ease up on yourself. And please know all you do is much appreciated, and we'd also appreciate you taking a break! MmwwAA!

Hey, Wabbit, I wouldn'r say useless and Whiterabbit in the same sentence!! :) Thanks for the experimentation, albesir. I started it finally and then the boss killed me!

To 2Sweetcamom - Is that better? :)

Thanks Wabbit. Yes, it's better but I haven't been back to try that first boss again yet. So many games, so little time!! :) 2sweet

I know what you mean 2sweetcamom. Sometimes at the end of a day I feel frustrated that I've still not played such and such a game that I've been meaning to continue for ages.
The only games I've ever really completed fully are the first four Men of Honour series, Colin McRae Rally 04, Lemmings, Prey and Hyperballoid: The Complete set (though I've still to finish off several of the expansion packs (after buying Hyperballoid The Golden pack which contains all the expansion packs ever released plus an extra one that's never been released as an expansion pack apart from the two free packs). If you have the Golden version you can't install the free packs in the usual way (available only from Alawar) but if you install a demo of the complete version (available from Alawar) then install the two free packs, you can remove the database files for both free packs and copy them over into the hyperballoid Golden packs folder :)
There are hundreds of these freeware and abandonware games I want to play, but it's so hard to decide what to play with so much choice I spend half my time dipping in here and there only to find it's time to go to bed before I've even settled on one game. :(
