Most of the following games I found thanks to Albesirs post from yesterday that linked to lots of downloadable and browser games. I’ve compiled the downloadable games into the list below plus I’ve add ed games that these lead onto, for example when I downloaded Chalk it lead onto tripline. Though there were too many games to post in one day, so I’ll post half now and half in a few days as I’ve still got lots of my Christmas list of games to post yet. Some of the ones to come such as Echoes have already been mentioned in the space shoot em’ ups thread and I was actually intending to post soon anyway, but may hs well post sooner than later as it’s a great free game. (I’ll be including that one in the next posting by me. :)

Cloudphobia:
If you let too many enemies pass you by in this shooter, your mother ship will be destroyed. Because of this, Cloudphobia adds an extra element of tension by forcing you to focus on keeping the swarms of enemies at bay in addition to just staying alive. Cloudphobia’s visuals are simply gorgeous for a freeware game. Hit the link above to download this awesome shoot ‘em up. You can’t go wrong.
Wow! What a great game! Just the sort of mind numbing thing that you need after a long day’s work. CloudPhobia is a horizontal shooter game from Japan. With excellent graphics and smooth game play there really isn’t much else you could ask for in a game of this genre.
In CloudPhobia you play a mecha (a kind of flying robot) and its up to you to protect the mothership (hidden off-screen) from enemy ships and mechas until the final showdown with the ultimate boss ship. Fortunately you come equipped with a laser gun with unlimite
d ammo, a set number of missiles and jet thrusters to help you complete your mission.
CloudPhobia differs from other side-scrolling shooters because as well as making sure that you dodge enemy fire you also have to keep an eye on the mothership (whose health bar is right below yours in the top corner of the screen). If you let too many enemy ships through then the mothership will be destroyed and it’s game over for you, no matter how much health (and time) you have left.
The graphics really are amazing, the animation is first class and the special effects are fantastic. These all combine to make this game such a joy to play. The only problem with this that those of you with older computers may find that the game slows down every now and then. The sound effects and the background music just add to the atmosphere of the game. (Sorry, couldn’t resist.)
Only a few minor complaints about this game, CloudPhobia offers nothing new in terms of game play and it can become repetitive because there is only one level.
All in all the graphics and entertainment value of CloudPhobia make it definitely worth a download. Enjoy.

Tripline:
This is a puzzle game where you draw an uncrossable line and at the same time try to cover every geometrical icon within the black frame. You have to pick three of the same icon before being able to go to a different one.
The game only has 30 successive levels, but they get quite challenging around the halfway point. The game is a result in me wanting to come up with a really simple puzzle game idea, and this is probably around the simplest I could think of!

Tumiki Fighters:
Kenta Cho is famous for creating some of the best freeware shoot ‘em ups out there. In TUMIKI Fighters, you collect broken parts from fallen enemies. As more pieces stick to your ship, you’ll receive additional points and some extra firepower. But if you take a hit, you’ll lose all the precious parts you collected. The bonuses that come with building a fatter ship - and keeping all your extra parts - give TUMIKI Fighters an addictive greed factor that’ll keep you hooked.

Masq:
You have to follow several pages to get to the download link so I’ve posted both the home page and the final page. Please visit the home page first. Thanks:
Are you willing to lie, cheat, and break the law to succeed? Masq plays like an interactive pulp fiction graphic novel, and throws you in the shoes of a fashion designer trying to launch a new line.
Sex, scandal, and murder run rampant through Masq's multiple plotlines, making for a titillating - albeit somewhat trashy - soap opera affair. You can breeze through the game's five chapters in about 30 minutes, but you'll want to try it another few times to uncover what
lies beneath the surface of all its shady and secretive characters.

Chalk:
Chalk is all about drawing your way to all the glory! Draw lines across shapes to destroy them, turn back bullets at enemies and thwart huge boss enemies by bouncing stuff back in their faces!
It's an arcade-game sized outing with the simple approach of a chalkboard. Because, you know, chalkboards are simpler than pen and paper...? Download it for some different arcade fun!
Chalk is one of the most original shooters you’ll see. Set against monochrome backgrounds filled with arithmetic equations and filled with enemies that resemble stylized doodles and sketches, the game looks like an ancient classroom chalkboard that’s come to life.
You’ll use the WASD keys to move your character about the screen to dodge enemies and their attacks. But at the same time, you’ll also use your mouse to click and draw lines across the screen to deflect bullets, destroy obstacles, and slash bosses.

Bonesaw:
Bonesaw is another excellent platformer that gets GamesRadar’s stamp of approval for unnecessary roughness, interference with work, and aggressive slashing with a giant over-sized hockey stick.
The retro side-scroller is loosely based on Clarkson University’s hockey team, The Golden Knights. It begins with an evil referee who banishes your entire team to an inter-dimensional penalty box for encouraging unruly fans.
