Did anyone notice? If you block AltDesk from incoming and outgoing connection, you basically lose your internet connection. I don't know what shit with this. I can't believe i let this slip through for a couple days now....GAOTD, this is another attempt to install a trojan. The AltDesk software looks harmless, yeah....virtual desktop...but what's up with the access inteference?
AltDesk - Why does it have to interfere with incoming and outgoing packets?

It would be helpful if you mentioned with what you are blocking AltDesk with? Because I have removed Norton's Security as well as McAfee's and the Windows one is turned off too. And I just have ZoneAlarm (free version) and have it setup up to ask me permission. And it hasn't asked me to allow it yet. If it did, it was only to register. But it never did after that.

Hi Bill. I use a simple firewall call Jetico. It's nothing fantastic but pretty much configurable. Not for the lazy. You can see what DLL it uses using Sysinternals Process Explorer.. I am not sure why it hook itself to windows socket and yet, the program did not listen on any ports. So basically it is just like a middleman in between. God knows if it ever send out information at an interval. Anyway, this was pretty useful but unfortunately its messing with my network...this one gotta go :)

Oh okay. Well that makes sense to me since your Internet applications is running through the shell like AltDesk. I would think it has to run that way. The only way around it is to run applications outside of AltDesk. And that isn't very likely without other software I don't think. I use a network here, didn't notice any problems though.
