Got the activation popup telling me I now have the GOTD licensed version
It's not clear to me that you actually got the full licensed version. You had to apply a code that you received via email to activate the software. Thus, the GOTD "Success Page", if that's the pop-up you're talking about, means even less than it normally does.
I'm not going to bother emailing support because it's been my experience that most software developers do not honor free license giveaways after the limited-time-offer expires.
I don't know how many GOTD offers you've downloaded but the "Terms and conditions" for each and every download clearly state "No free technical support". Consequently, you would be the party not honoring the license agreement if you asked for free Tech Support.
Assuming that you did apply the code and got the full licensed version then the most common reasons for losing the license are:
- you ran a registry cleaner that removed your registration. Add the entries back and see if it resolves the problem.
- you failed to uncheck the "Check for Updates" box. All GOTDs are offered with "No free upgrades to future versions" and allowing the program to check for updates often causes them to revert to trial versions
Additionally, you may need to tell Kerish to "run as administrator" when you start the program. Even if you installed it on an administrator account you may not have sufficient credentials.
