Here's a little video I came across. Look at the clothing and hair styles.

Hey! I get to say it first.
Thank ya very much. Thank yoooo....
Actually, though I'm not offended, don't really like the CGing of Martina in here. Prefer the way they did it with Natalie and Nat King Cole with Unforgettable. This way kinda seems to me like the new artist is co-opting a great moment. Sometimes as a tribute, but (shocking, I know) sometimes for profit. This one seems a legit tribute. That said, I think this is a fine performance by Martina. Don't hate her, but not a big fan. Great voice, but she's like Whitney Houston. Oversings everything. A great voice doesn't overcome a lack of real feeling in the song. Here, she gets it. The funny thing is she's singing it straight, while Elvis is hamming it up a little. But, that was the tone of that segment. For that reason, she might do it slightly better, but doesn't hold a candle to the original. Athough, I definitely don't miss the famous "woo - ooo - ooo - ooo - ooo"s on the record. They're fun, but not essential.
Saw the original special as an 11 yr. old, and find many of those "mod" women's fashions attractive. Gotta admit, Martina's a looker in any era!
Archangel,
Thanks for sharing this awesome vid. This song reminds me of a cassette I once had called 'Blue Rhythms' by the King, but unfortunately it got jammed...
Thanks Arch......Just as I finished listening to the video the song came on the radio and so I'm hearing it again right now (but without Martina). Thanks for sharing.....ah Elvis......be still my heart! Hee hee
Trying to get to you...
Seems to be recorded at that same location...and a lotta screaming girls are enjoying it too.
Trying To Get To You
What You Want Me To Do
I Don't Care LOL.
Thanks all, Robert it does look like Elvis is at the same place LOL.
That's really taken me back and now I'm all nostalgic for my youth. I even fancy watching an Elvis movie, but I don't have any. :(
Thanks Robert! You an Angel got me "itchin' like a man on a fuzzy tree". My favorite from the show, after an intro., is "That's All Right Mama". Elvis back to his roots. Best example of why he became the "King".

Shame Elvis never did a Christmas special. That would've been a MEGA-seller.
I Need Somebody to Lean On
Then lets go to the
Heartbreak Hotel
ELVIS_PRESLEY without Martina
(And the same song with the woo - ooo - ooo - ooo - ooo 's.LOL.)
Little Sister - Lawdy Miss Clawdy
Angel - are you lonesome tonight?
The full comeback special 1968:
And this is how they did the McBride duet 40 years after:
Elvis Presley & Martina McBride - Behind The Scenes
Pretty cool.
Thanks again Archangel.
