I use roboform, but I wonder if using a memory stick is best. Some have commented that a memory stick might not be that secure. I have a 1 GB privacy vault memory stick, uses password protection and software that you can download from the website (if you lose it or have to reinstall) and it costs about $20. Wonder if I should use this instead of Roboform?

Well, surf. Many of the opinions people are expressing on this aren't technical opinions, but more day to day practical. You probably realize those, but just to get them out on the table: The base idea on the memory stick is, if you don't leave it in the computer, people can't hack in during those times and get your passwords (not to mention password portability). Where storing them in your computer, obviously, means they have to be protected every second your machines on. But then, so does everything else related to your machine. On the other hand, if you lose your stick.... I'm sure that's why some say write them on paper. Of course, you could lose, or someone could get access to, that list.
Partly, it depends on you. Who you are, what your habits are, how good you are with your security. You may never lose anything, so your stick would be safe. I'm sure the much more sophisticated folks that frequent the forums can give a better tech. answer, especially to the hackability of memory sticks. But, to a certain extent, I suspect it boils down to these more practical lifestyle issues. Of course, none of these methods are effective if your infected with a keylogger the moment you type the passwords for the first time. And every time if you use paper storage. I apologize if your already way ahead on this part of it. Couldn't tell from your post exactly what your knowledge level is.
