Thanks Liesbeth.. I'm hooked on these! Whose offering it?

Bigfish, definitely, for the rest I don;t know. Have you done the others? Ravenhearts, Madame fate and the Prime Suspects?

I've done all three,I couldn't recommend them more...Ravenhearst,Madam Fate and Ravenhearst 2 (played in that order) are the most fun, and in my opinion the best done HO games you can get. Each one is more beautiful than the last and each one gets harder as you go. I can't say enough good things about Ravenhearst 2. It is a stunner, story continues from the first one, through the next two, so it really holds your interest by the time you get to the last one. Graphics are great, sounds and music are terrific and the puzzles are real mind-benders. I learned about Bigfish from GGOTD and they have been excellent, they just sent me a fully cased CD of Ravenhearst to give as a gift. They have given me three other full games and a CD of Demos. I got the first Ravenhearst for $.99 last Thanksgiving, my sister and I played it and had a great time. She bought a membership(7.99 a game)and I used her account to buy her Madam Fate as her birthday present...loved it, then she bought us Ravenhearst 2 for our reward for putting on the family feast this Thanksgiving. We started playing Thursday afternoon and we couldn't stop until we finished it Friday night. If you like creepy-fun games, hidden objects with puzzles/mini-games and a more than fair game company that we've had absolutely no trouble with, then I really believe you should demo these games.

And on a very happy note: from the end it is very obvious that Ravenhearst 3 will come too!

Have all 5 of them!
I got the Ravenhearst CD in the mail too, now I need to find someone to give it to, lol !

Did you use any hints? Gamezebo has a fairly accurate walkthrough, they just messed up on the phone number...they said it was 727-5153... it is 708-1053, which you need to use to open the door to get to the bucket. I was cracking up dialing the phone numbers that were written on the wall...one of them was to Big Fish Liverpool!
Loved the Rachael Ray in the kitchen joke, also did you notice the Big Fish poster in the game?
I have to admit I was getting dizzy playing this one, I really felt like I was lost...lmao!Loves the Fish...long time member!

Sukibabe, I missed the poster! Heheh...I'll look when I play the game again, next time I want to play all the puzzles, a few of the door ones we skipped because we weren't making any progress on them... and only had so much time to play together. Darn work gets in the way of fun sometimes!! I think my phone number was different than yours', I think it is 'where' you get the number that is important. It does run you around a bit doesn't it?
I've been impressed with BigFish, it is really nice to have a good game company that isn't pushy with it's advertising, works like they say it will and seems to value its' existing customers.Posted 16 years ago # -
The number was in the room where the 2 girls were digging a tunnel out, on a piece of paper on the floor...
Now they might have put in different numbers, so if you play it the next time around it will be different, lol...they would do that!Did you know the Fish has a name...Felix!
Fish trivia, gota love it...they had a poster in Madame Fate also.

I've played them all and enjoyed each and everyone of them. Thanks for the tip on the phone number! Some of their puzzles can really get tricky!
I've also finally finished Interpol 2: Most Wanted, and am now on Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos... it's a little l-o-n-g! Can't wait to finish so I can try another kind! They really put a lot of time into the graphics!!Posted 16 years ago # -
Oh, my gosh, this is a fun and engrossing game! My almost 15 year old daughter and I have been playing this together, and just now she came up and asked if we were going to play it again soon. It's fun to have something to do with her that she enjoys, and we make a good team. She's great at solving some of the puzzles, and I can find hidden objects occasionally. We're just about to the ending of the game, and I just bought it yesterday morning. Thanks for recommending Big Fish Games and Ravenhearst 3.

I am going through it for the 3rd time now, I have missed a few things (or maybe 1?) and I am now determined not to skip puzzles anymore.
I am impressed by the graphics, the hidden objects are often so naturally hidden. In Ravenhearst 1 it was often a pile of junk, always looking very funnily.
Details I like is that the statue in the living room looks the same as in 1 and is placed the same, very convincing.
Being from the Netherlands I don;t get the Rachel Ray reference.Posted 16 years ago # -
Rachel Ray is on the Food Network and she also has a show in the morning on CBS TV in the US...she is famous for cooking...one of her standard sayings is "Yummo"...oh and I can't forget "Good Gravy"...she uses that instead of saying good god or the like.
I haven't finished the game yet...been to busy beta testing others, and I'm working on editing text for one game company that we all know and love here! I better crack the whip on that one as everyone is waiting for Ashton........
I use the walkthrough when I get stuck the first time around, but when I play it again I don't...even the walkthrough doesn't help sometimes...they give you an idea about a certain puzzle, but you have to figure it out...what kind of help is that, lol!Suki

I love these games, and I got all of them from Big Fish. I just received my free Ravenhearst game, and I kept it for myself, as I don't have a hard copy of the game--I just downloaded it on Big Fish. I can't recommend this series highly enough. Return to Ravenhearst is a whole new step in the series, with more adventure-type elements, and more of a storyline, plus the FMV (full motion video) segments with actors are great!

Liesbeth, I'm like you, I like it when the items to find fit in their environment instead of being just a pile of mismatched graphics that don't even fit the scene or time frame of the game. I loved the door puzzles in the first Ravenhearst.
Catnip, I'm glad to hear you say that, I've been tempted to do that myself, but then you can redownload at any time from BigFish and as they get a million d/l's a day(or so I've heard) they will probably be around for the long haul so you won't have to worry about losing your games from them.

You can get Ravenhearst absolutely free right now! All you have to do is enter "HOLIDAYRAVEN" in the promotional code box during checkout (make sure you select the $19.99 no club benefits option) and you don't have to pay a cent. It worked for me. You can also get the Titanic game for free by typing HOLIDAYTITANIC.
Posted 16 years ago # -
I did for Titanic, but it takes of the coupon and then still charges 7.99.
Posted 16 years ago # -
Liesbeth, you did something wrong since Titanic is free. Here are the instructions. Print them out if necessary and follow them carefully.
1. Click the "Buy Now" button.
2. Create a Big Fish Games account (no credit card required). Or, if you already have a Big Fish Games account, log in.
3. On the "Select Purchase Options" page, check the circle that says "$19.99 per game - No Game Club benefits" and click "Continue." (If you are a Big Fish Game Club member, you will skip this step.)
4. You'll be offered again to join Game Club. Click "No thanks."
5. On the "Review Your Cart" page, uncheck the box that says "Yes! Send me a back-up CD."
6. Enter your coupon code in the "Have a coupon code box" and click "Apply Code." We recommend you copy (Ctrl+ C) and paste (Ctrl+ V) your coupon code to avoid errors. Or, if you don't know how to copy and paste, just write it down.
7. The price of the game is now $0.00. Click "Check Out" and then click "Submit Order."
8. If you have selected the PC version, click the button that says "Install Game Now." If you have selected the Mac version, you will receive a follow-up email with further instructions on how to set up your game.
9. Congratulations, the game is now yours forever, compliments of Borders and Big Fish Games. Enjoy!Posted 16 years ago #
