This isn't an earth shattering deal, but it is a good one, particularly if you don't like buying from Amazon Marketplace sellers. If you have Windows 10 with an earlier version of Microsoft Office installed, a Store app that gets installed automatically [to sell you Office 365] will let you buy a personal license for $35. That's about equal to the cheapest price I've seen for a license on Amazon.
Yes, you're going from a lifetime license to a one year license, but much of what I've read says that you're better off that way, as Microsoft has gotten so restrictive with their stand-a-lone Office activation / deactivation. That said, if you'd like or need Office 365 on more than one device, you're probably still better off heading to Amazon [or similar] & buying a more expensive license that lets you install it on 5 devices.
