I didn't install the program but licensing information for most programs can be found by clicking "Help | About" from the menu.
If the program is registered try right-clicking the icon and selecting "Run as Administrator". Changing system information almost always requires System Administrator approval and it's oddly common to have to elevate the rights of an Administrator account to perform Administrator tasks.
If right-clicking works then modify the icon's properties (right-click, select "properties", compatibility tab, select "always run as administrator").

Be careful when using Folderico. I download this a few years ago on Vista and it sent my computer into a spin. Folderico is free anyways.

I am admin on my computer and I am unable to get the activation code for this software. I have clicked on the activation.exe several times to no avail. I have also ascertained that the exes, the gcd and readme are all in the folderico program folder.

I installed this on Windows 10. I just got it to activate. I had to click on the activate.exe file that I put in the folderico program folder in order for it to be successfully activated. The way to see if your program is activated it to right click on a folder and in the drop-down menu you will see folderico with choices ... if buy is at the bottom of that list which includes color choices then it is not activated.
