Don't know what to tell ya. No problems encountered when I installed it on my Pentium/XP PC. Just hope I have no problems uninstalling it. (hint hint)

If you don't mind paying, there are some very good registry clean up programs that are safe for those not understanding.

Suki, IMHO, the s/w wasn't anything to send a calendar home about. As I stated in my reply/review, FREE might be an okay price to pay if your audience isn't too choosy. (paraphrased... wonder why only 3 comments show up... the View All Comments link don't work no more)
Needless to say, the giveaway didn't offer a very broad selection of styles. I'm surprised the frequent poster who demands Win3.1 software didn't complain that there wasn't a 3-D Pop Up Calendar style. :-)FWIW, I've been on a low priority quest for a calendarmaker with built-in presets/styles, not for cheap cardboard prop up types, but for the refillable AT-A-GLANCE desktop calendar pages that sit in a base. (similar concept to word processors and publishing software that have preset formats for printing self-stick Avery mailing labels, but maybe I'm expecting too much and will eventually have to create my own layout scheme and drop the calendars into it) Wouldn't be surprised if its sitting under my nose in one of my existing aapplications. Daunting task for these old brain cells to remember all 369372 features in the 17298 pieces of software I've downloaded in the past year.
Archangel, I've several decent uninstallers and registry cleaners, incl. RegMechanic and Revo. (of course, none are fail safe, especially after heavy drinking prompted by another election debacle)
Don't know whether I can blame it all on certain programs' uninstallers erasing shared files, or a cavalier delete auth on my part - which, of course, never causes immediate problems, but sometime later odd things begin to occur, like -
>>> being unable to open the blasted HOSTSMan window from the taskbar icon, or
>>> noticing all my desktop files/folders have lost their custom size/position settings (despite me upping the bag limit earlier this year using the Kellys Korner tweak for this Microsoft glitch) or
>>> seeing a strange goo oozing out of the keyboard... you know, minor things. My spyware/virus scans are all silent so this is an in-house problemo. Dell's gold tech support ends in 2 months, so I suspect it's a plot.Posted 16 years ago # -

I go to the office supply store and buy card stock and envelopes in bulk, beats Avery's price for anything...I haven't found the address labels...but I haven't been looking...although I have software to do them...it's hard to find iron on transfer sheets also in bulk.
Both my Dell's no longer are covered...hence I am reluctant to mess with the registry!
I had a problem with some betas I was doing for Gamezebo...they were from egames...so I was contacted by Nick(very nice guy)from egames...we spent a good part of Nov 5th trying to troubleshoot the problem...did the Dxdiag and processes...my laptop is running 82, my Desktop is at 68...when I look at them in Task Manager it's Greek to me...but when I run a pc checkup from the Dell Support Center it makes it easier to understand...I just wish they had a printout feature! Nick seems to think that's why I'm having a problem, yet my largest game is about 800 MB and plays fine...the betas were only 60 MB...but I would like to get those processes down without screwing anything up,lol! He suggested that XP shouldn't be running over 60 and that in their tests XP has a base of 19 and that anything above that is something else on my pc...he also said that in their test on both XP and Vista they crashed pc's running over 60 processes...told me I should do a msconfig to get rid of the ones I don't need...he also said it was against their policy to be able to help and I could find the info online...ya right...maybe in a "Girl seeking Guy" to fix her pc scenario...lmaoSomeone had posted here, but the post is missing...bugs, lol...but I wrote down the name of the software and remember his member name...I had asked that he post a link to said software...I didn't think it was illegal...
I'm surprised that you didn't get edited for saying anything against Dell...I did, lol...
Are you still running SP2 or did you go to SP3 on your XP???
M$ tried to download it, but I blocked 3, because of the back-up all your stuff issue...my son said something about backing it up to a DVD...only one of my 3 comps has a DVD drive and that is the "oh so over processed laptop"....
I should have gone for computer repair instead of becoming a Chef...to late and to old to do it now...when I went to school, computers looked like something out of a Sci-Fi movie with the big disks of tape...Take care, Suki
P.S. See that Archangel must have seen said post...Posted 16 years ago # -

I just used the Avery name for reference to help clarify a venture I'm considering, i.e., create specialty desktop calendar refills. By BULK (discount) iron-on transfers, do you mean HP's brand for t-shirts? I may have a source. You're welcome to ask a moderator or Maizey to give you my Admiral Seed.As for the TaskMan/processes dilemma, I was told by an up-tiered Verizon Tech Support rep they recommmend no more than 40 processes (I usually run between 45 and 50, but have to kill off everything except life support to get down to 40 so SkyAces will work)
UGH, I've gone through the msconfig nuisance but the unintuitive file names on the TaskMan list are a royal pain to purge with confidence. DELL sucks up some, but unfortunately, AVG alone seems to suck up another 20.What I wrote earlier about Dell was tongue-in-cheek. I doubt anyone would remove a bash against DELL (unless it incl. a triple bash against GAOTD, FireFox and Draconian censorship by mods who have too much time on their hands), but let's see! -
DELL Gold Tech is well worth the $$... those guys "say" they can't help (with a wink), but they've bent over backwards to help every time, even with nonDell issues. However, I loathe the Dell Support Ctr, particularly the deeply flawed driver download section. After submitting multiple complaints and suggestions, I learned from chatting with the Gold Tech guys that even THEY are sick of trying to get Dell to address those same issues. Several have said that they've repeatedly submitted complaints at roundtable staff meetings and get rebuffed.I'm sticking with SP2 for now, having set SP3 (and that Silverlight thing) to permanently "hidden" on their download service. Way too many complaints on Google about problems with SP3. The last thing I need right now is a corrupted system and a forced reformat. I would go postal.
I date back to teletypes, greenbar, punch cards, Fortran and then onwards to Basic and tape recorders (pre-floppy) with handset modems that were slower than Morse Code. About 10 years later, almost had to learn how to swap reels on mainframes while programming in RPG3. The company was slowly transitioning to PCs, but I decided it was better to own my own company and just use PCs. Enjoy a trip down Memory Lane... no pun intended.

Suki.. I get my address labels in bulk packs from Quill Corp., if you're familiar with them. And I believe they and Staples are connected.

LOL...loved memory lane...those main frame computers are what I'm talking about with the real to real!
I still have real to real tapes and a recorder in the basement...Thanks copmom, I will check it out.
RM...yes avery...hp...generic T-shirt transfer paper, I got some mouse pad kits from wal-mart in the discount bin and made up my own...same principle as the t-shirt iron ones.
I basically by the card stock and envelopes in bulk...with the price of greeting cards these days...I will pay for the ink...that way I don't have to run out for any occasion in case I forgot...I hate shopping for Christmas cards and print my own. Comes in handy when I get one from someone who is not on my list, lol !Thanks guys, Suki
