What are your favorite games and why? Also how did you get them?
My favorites are 80 days (Giveawayoftheday) and The Rise of Atlantis (MoreFun). The reason I like them is that both are easy to cheat on. LOL

I also like 80 Days. Right now I'm hooked on Ancient Quest of Saqqarah (Codeminion). It's a match 3 style game with a twist, it gets to be quite challenging. Real nice graphics.
My all time favorite is Bud Redhead, a side scroller. I've played it through numerous times but have never been able to beat the final boss at the very end. I got it from Reflexive. I also really like the Granny games and have played them several times too. Got some from Reflexive and others from Real Arcade.
arcade or M.A.M.E. asteroids, tempest, time pilot '84. bought them for the family arcade, still have tempest and time pilot.
computer- quake 2, online in deathmatch mode. bought it when I got my first 3d vidcard, an original voodoo 4 meg for my K6-233.
Around the world in 80 days WAS but I've beaten it so many times there's no challenge anymore. Now I'm hooked on hidden object games.. but, alas, I've finished all the ones I have. Got some from GOTD, and several from mostfun games and real arcade.
Already have and did: Secret of Margrave Manor (just finished that one), Magic Encyclopedia, Discovery, GHOST hunters, Neverland, Riteous Kill (this I liked a lot), Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes, The Nightshift Code, Hidden Expedition Titanic, Ravenhurst, and Treasure Masters (which I'm stuck in one place on).
Now I need MORE!!!!! Anyone got any leads on any?
Try Big City Adventure Sydney Australia from Mostfun.
OK Pookie, thanks a bunch!!! Got it downloaded and playing it right now.. couldn't tell from the title that was a hidden object game! Wish they'd categorize them! Anyway, now I'm a happy camper for awhile!!! *-)
Some of us that are retired don't have time for them but........................ROTFL Just poking some fun.
Games like Cluedo, Monopoly, etc. were favourites but that was when they were board games...
rez......Ah yes! Sitting around the table with a good old board game.....Monopoly, Parcheesi, Yahtzi, (probably didn't spell them right)......those were the days! Nobody wants to do that anymore......wish I could find a few nearby friends who enjoy those old games.
I'm getting to old...my favorite board game was Risk...we would have all nighters playing that one...I didn't like the PC version!
As to my favorite game...lets see...I have so many, but I think I can say Ricochett Infinity!!!
I get a high playing that one...natural of course,roflmao!!!

I love Magic Farm, Bloom, the 3 Snowy Treasure Hunter games, Ozzy Bubbles and the 2 Turtle Odysseys, the 2 Egyptoid games and Puzzle Hero (all GOTD giveaways), I keep going back to all of them and playing them over and over.
Also, the Granny games, the 2 Jewels of Cleopatra games, Strike Ball 2, Supercow, Turtix and Fizzball (Big Fish Games - I get their games for US$6.99 each and I've got hundreds), and the 4 'Little Shop' Hidden Object games from Gamehouse (you would love them, Copmom).
Then there is Farm Frenzy 2 which I am playing at the moment, have gone through it twice so far, and I'm now on my 3rd time through. Got it from Alawar.
I often play a game to death then delete it due to not having a big enough hard drive (laptop is 80gb plus an external 100gb - nowhere near big enough). In a few months' time I will reinstall the really good ones and play them all over again. All these games have their icons on the screen for easy access, I have probably forgotten (for now) lots of other really great games because they aren't easily visible.
You can tell I don't do much else than play games, can't you, lol.
Thanks Nola... I'll check out the little shop ones. Don't believe I have any of those yet.
One game I used to love was an email one by Hasbro ... Scrabble! We made our move and then sent as an email to others for their turn. Then they discontinued being able to do it online anymore!
Any and all hidden object games
copmom
Here is one from Big Fish U might get a kick out of...It's Yard Sale Hidden Treasures:Sunnyville...
This was such a campy game I used a coupon code they had sent me for it!
You have to search for items at yard sales to make items to decorate you house to win the contest of Best House in Sunnyville, lol...what a hoot!
I played it thru and got only one gold star all the others were silver for the different rooms...due to the fact that you have to cut, saw, sand, paint, wipe etc... the pieces of junk you found at the yard sales and make decorations for your home... took me to the last room (master bedroom to get the hang of it) that's when I finally got a gold, lol...
Suki
sukibabe, thanks for telling me about the yard sale game game. I got a copy since my wife loves yard sales and we decorated the entraway and the living room. The problem is that she is afraid of clowns so don't know what we will do when we get to that yard sale. LOL
Not sure if anyone noticed the (newish?) hidden object game Sunset Studio deluxe at Gamehouse.
It is under the Extended play section..
http://www.gamehouse.com/gamedetails/?game=sunsetstud&navpage=downloadgames
Just click on the download now button and it will show you a page where you can choose to either buy it or to play with ads..
It has the usual ads, but Gamehouse just shows one at the beginning and then at the beginning of each level.
NO game manager thank goodness!
It is quite fun (and pretty challenging..lol)
Oh yes, copmom, you can play a scrabble version through Facebook (called Wordscraper).
It is turn based(but you don't have to be on at the same time)
I guess one has to join Facebook to play but it is a great game!
Gish has to be one of my all time favorite arcade games, (I'm really looking forwards to the sequel that should be out very soon). Reflexives Ricochet Infinity, Peggle, and most hidden objects games are high up there on the list as well. I've been playing a new game called World of Goo which is fabulous and I'm testing two new games for Alawar at the moment, one a hidden objects game with a distinctly Christmas feel to it (Holly: A Christmas Tale)and a match three on the lines on four elements but more suited to the kids (called finding doggy).
My most favorite games of the moment are Fallout 3, a post apocalyptic RPG with FPS elements in it. It's a haunting look at what Washington DC could look like if there had been a nuclear war. Also Oblivion another RPG (the developers of which also made Fallout 3)as well as the latest Brothers in Arms game (Hells Highway), Far Cry 2 and the latest installment of Crysis. One of the best all round FPS games that I played almost exclusively for nearly three years and still play is Battlefield 2 and the other titles in the Battlefield series; Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2142, all of which you can buy for less than any arcade game (apart from the newest one BF2142)and the first three in the series have hundreds of extra maps to add thanks to the modding community. I have over 500Gb of modifications and maps just for Battlefield 2). Oh yeah another excellent game that was a favorite for a while is Unreal Tournament, another game with hundreds of modifications available. You can buy The Unreal Anthology that contains four of the unreal tournament games for less than the price of an arcade game. Unreal 2004 (which is one of the games included) was the most modded game I know and is still a brilliant game to play (though I prefer the latest installment Unreal Tournament 2007 (or UT3))
On the match three front I love Four Elements at the moment.
Copmom, try Treasures of Mystery Island and Unicorn Castle, both of which are similar to Treasure Masters; also I highly recommend the two Dream Chronicles games as well.
To be honest, it really depends upon what mood I'm in as to what appeals to me. Though of all the games I'm playing at the moment, Fallout 3 has to be the one I favor the most (It was released just over a week ago) and probably reflects the way I feel due to the consequences of the accident I was involved in three years ago.

Have you gotten to level 63 in 4 Elements yet??? This level will get to you, it changes the game play drastically and the fun I was having!!!

Thanks for the game suggestions. I'll have to try those out!!
Hi Suki, no I've not got that far. To be honest, I'm a bit of a strange character because I tend to save my best games to play ......later, lol. I have several on the go at the moment which includes four Elements. I've been concentrating on my DVD based games recently as I went mad a couple of months ago and bought around 15 in the space of just a few weeks. And have been buying them almost weekly since. I've still to even install a couple of them, lol. I’ve got three game credits to redeem over at BFG, but none of the latest games grab me (apart from the 'etch a sketch' game, but only a little because of the arkanoid element to it. Games are flowing out of my ears at the moment and I’ve not even considered all the free ones that I’ve been posting. Some are as good as the commercial ones in my opinion especially when you disregard the graphics.
I will probably crack open elements sometime today because of the find doggy game as they really are similar apart from the themes; b.t.w. If you haven’t tried World of Goo yet, do try it. I’m really impressed with it. It looks like there will be a levels editor out soon as well :)

Am I late? :)
Ok, my top casual games for now are next:

I like first two because you can feel there like detective :) And the last one is just to train my brain.
Bloom is my favorite.
