Any game or audio discs using SafeDisc or Securom will not work, as Microsoft's disabled support.

Due to some of my old game disc's being damaged, but still playable I started to use NoCD patches about 10 years ago. The site I've always used is called GameCopyworld. You'll find the site HERE.
I've never had problems downloading patches; and as far as I know, the site is safe from virus's etc. Most games that are DVD/CD based will be found at the site and you can also download all version updates, fixes, trainers (these are things like unlimited ammo etc), as well as cheats.
To find a game you are interested in click on the Game Index Link which is located under PC in the right hand column on the web page (see image below for details):
Once you've selected a mirror site from the home page the following is presented to all community members as they enter the GameCopy world:

With apologies for being OT, the end of the month's approaching so make sure you get a free lifetime license to DVDFab Passkey -- advertised at SOS. Thread with direct link didn't survive filtering, & your mailbox is full WR so couldn't PM.
Passkey works well, & a lifetime license for DVD & Blu-Ray discs was going for over $100. It works like AnyDVD HD by running in the tray, removing DRM from discs when you insert them in the drive. That way they'll work with any player, Windows, or any software you choose really. It also has a built-in disc backup function.
