When trying to move an email from the server into personal folders, I'm getting the error "Can't move the items. The set of folders could not be opened. An error occured that prevented the file H:\(name).pst from being saved. Close and then restart all mail-enabled applications". I have ran the inbox repair and it found nothing. I have rebooted the computer several times now. The size of the .pst is 1.09 GB. Any suggestions?

Microsoft has a standard utility to repair pst files: scanpst.exe
see
You could try and copy the pst-file, move the copy and rename it to its original name.

I agree with the suggestion to copy the file. But, I don't think it's really a problem with Outlook as much as a file in use or account credentials issue.
When you move a file you're essentially copying it to a new location and then deleting the original. You can't delete a file when it's in use. The inability to move the file suggests that either Outlook is open (the file is in use) or that you don't have sufficient rights to delete the file from the server. You obviously have rights to delete messages in the file but that doesn't mean you have the rights to delete the actual file.
If you can copy the file then you can:
(a) use one of the tools listed here to delete a stubborn file; or,
(b) delete all the messages in the file on the server and switch to using the local file.Posted 9 years ago # -
1. Close the Outlook program.
2. Click the "Start" button and enter "scanpst.exe" into the "Find" or "Search" field. This search will find the repair tool within the Microsoft Outlook program files.
3. Open the file by double-clicking it. This will open the repair tool.
4. Click "Browse" and navigate to the pst files you wish to repair. Highlight the files and click "Start".
5. Allow the repair tool to work and then close the tool when the repair finishes.
6. Run Outlook and locate the recovered folders in the left pane of Outlook (click "View" and "Folder List". You should see a new folder called "Lost and Found".
7. Make a new pst file for the recovered items. Click "File" and "Data File Management". Select "Add" and "New Outlook Data File". Find the "Types of Storage" section and click "Office Outlook Personal Folders File" and press "OK". Designate the location and enter a file name for the new pst file and press "OK".
8. Move the items from Lost and Found to the new pst file. You can delete the Lost and Found folder after moving the items to the new file
9. Apply paid variant in case nothing helps you https://www.repairtoolbox.com/how-to-repair-pst-file.html Outlook Repair ToolboxPosted 9 years ago # -
FWIW here's how it's supposed to work:
[https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/291636]If there are problems then try the repairs others have posted. If there are still problems, read this:

Right click on the file, go to properties and make sure it is not blocked and make sure Read Only is not checked/selected.
