This exact same thing happened with the prior release of this program. Almost immediately after downloading the prior release I decided would be good time to cleanup my system drive. This is when I discovered after another problem with the program.
After I reformatted my C drive,(having installed the program on a D drive) I tried to reinstall the drivers using Drivermagic. It did not work! I had a horrible mess it took me several days to straighten out.
I think that there been enough complaints over the months that this program and the company that released it should be banned from this site. All of the bad remarks aimed at this company a few weeks go when Drivermagic was again offered on the giveawayoftheday were deserved.
Immediately after I got my computer back in operation I reviewed the list of programs that I had that claimed that they could backup my system drivers. I found two or three programs that I had downloaded to make backups of my drivers. At that time I did not dare check to see if any of them would actually work. Some time later when I knew that I was going to reformat my drive again, I backed up my drivers using DriverMax. I was not really counting on DriverMax to work any better than the Drivermagic program did. This was just a test.
DriverMax worked for the most part. Several of the individual drivers had to be installed one by one manually. My guess is that DriverMax did not update the registry as it needed to be updated.
