MemberMe too. I"m retired, and use the pc as a pasttime. Especially now with the markets evaporating my retirement savings, your links, and those of the other posters, are most welcome.
To the dissers in the main comments thread, I"d suggest they learn to use the scroll bars on their screens, or even better, put a crowbar into their cheap-assed wallets and buy a scrollwheel mouse. Then, they can easily spin thru comments them don't like- just like I do with theirs.Don

Games GuruHonestly I don't deserve such accolades. My reviews of giveaway games are my own work, but they aren’t really reviews in the sense that I perceive a review to be. It would take me many more hours to write a decent review of any game because to do so you really need to play a game from start to finish, then write in as succinct and erudite a way as possible, about the game, which I rarely do these days. I used to do before the project went to weekends only, but pain levels have increased over the last year, that couple with me trying to actually reduce the dose of opoids has left me a bit of a wreck. I appreciate the kind words said by you and many other people on this site, but I don’t think I do anything special. I’m lucky enough (well unlucky in some ways because I’d much rather be out working and meeting people in the real world) to have a lot of spare time on my hands – in fact more than I’ve ever had in my entire life, so doing what I’m doing helps to keep me occupied, I enjoy it, and it helps to take my mind of the pain.
Much of the review material attached to the free weekday games I’m posting isn’t my work. Where possible I reference the work I’ve used. I do try to add my own, but despite saying I have all the time in the world, I do seem to have stretched myself very thin on the ground so don’t spend the time actually writing my own personal experiences of all the games I post. I do play all just to make sure they work, but it would take me too long if I was to write a full review for every game I post.
Thank again for the kind words; they are very much appreciated, but it does embarrass me a little.

Well, sorry you're embarrassed, But still, you are pretty good considering, that the moderators or someone on the GOTD blog, said happy birthday to you! Still, some do think you're the worst.

MemberWhiterabbit - you do deserve accolades. I've been a "silent" GOTD participant for a year or so. I visit GOTD each morning. When there was a bit about you no longer posting "leads" I decided to become a more active visitor. I strongly pay attention to what you say about games or programs. I value you opinion and insight on the offer. I also value and follow the links you provide for additional games not offered through GOTD.I truly appreciate all your efforts, however they are initiated. I'm also glad that you elected to ignore the "nay sayers". You truly are a valuable asset to this website Whiterabbit.

I may be new here to GAOTD but I also have found your reviews useful. Thank you for all the great reviews, for the great free games you find, and for showing me how great DosBox is. You are a true valued member to the whole GAOTD community.

Just so you know, it's GOTD, not GAOTD. Many people make that mistake, but Give, and Away, are not seperate.

Rabbit, you do deserve the praise and need not feel embarrased.
No other has, takes, spends, the time to make these reviews, and you do. Even if you use outside sources, and don't think you deserve the compliments. You do.
You make an intelligable whole out of what otherwise is a chaos to others.( read: me)
That means a lot to a lot of people, and we all feel gratitude... so where do we go with that feeling? well, eh, we shout it out here. so THANKS stephen for all your effort. You could go PLAY games to take yr mind of the pain you see, so we all do appreciate what you do a little extra now.
